At EquaSiis, our mission is to improve service outcomes by
providing world-class Software, Intelligence, Insights and Services
to end-customers and their service providers at every stage of the
Information Technology (IT) and Business Support Services (BSS)
sourcing, transformation and delivery life cycle. We begin by
offering market Insights and Services to organizations considering
a new service delivery model for their IT and Business Support
Services and finish by providing Software and Intelligence to help
successfully complete the transition to the new service delivery
model for these organizations.
EquaSiis has the advantage of being the global leader in
providing these software + services to sourcing governance
organizations and their service providers right from its launch,
thanks to its EquaTerra heritage. We strive to rapidly become the
first choice of all customer organizations and service providers
struggling to transition and govern sourced service.
Background
Since 2003, EquaTerra has been recognized as the global thought
leader in establishing and institutionalizing the processes of
governing sourced IT and BSS. Sourcing governance practitioners and
third party service providers have consistently turned to EquaTerra
to help them design, build and run their governance organizations
and optimize service provider relationships. Feedback gathered from
over 1,800 IT and BSS transformation and outsourcing engagements
around the world convinced EquaTerra that there is a desperate need
for a scalable enterprise platform for managing sourcing
initiatives and governing sourced services.
The common theme voiced by IT and BSS sourcing, transformation
and governance teams was a desire for a solution that:
- provides an easily configured, secure, role-based
environment
- was compliant with broadly adopted architectural standards and
leveraged infrastructure components already in place in most
organizations
- is pre-populated with with best-practice templates and
tools
- includes a portal that delivers critically relevant data and
analysis from both internal customer and external market
sources
- connects directly to a wide variety of data sources to automate
the transactional governance processes (service level management,
invoice verification etc.)
- features rich document management, workflow, project planning
and web 2.0 collaboration capabilities
- can be delivered as a secure hosted service or as a licensed
product for customer installation
EquaSiis is Born
Reacting to this strong demand, EquaTerra invested millions of
dollars to build a solution leveraging its repository of thought
leadership and best practice IP and partnered with Microsoft to
create a set of services and a software platform using the
SharePoint and SQL Server products already in use at many
customers, combined with other standard business intelligence
products in the Office platform and collaborative features in
Exchange. Over the last three years, these products and services
have been created, tested, refined, and sold to Global 1000
customers in North America, Europe and Asia, and have now reached
the point in their evolution where they require a dedicated entity
to market and manage them.
In February 2009, EquaSiis was launched to focus exclusively on
this exciting and rapidly growing market. The EquaSiis team
includes, as its core, key thought leaders and practitioners from
EquaTerra's Global Governance and Transition team and Research and
Service Provider programs group that invented, launched and
nurtured the EquaSiis products and services. Already, shared
service and outsourcing practitioners in over 50 global
organizations are using EquaSiis software + services to monitor,
manage, measure and report on complicated service relationships.
The results - savings of 2-5% of the total service value - speak
for themselves. EquaSiis is also a trusted advisor to many leading
service providers. Through our Insights consulting engagements,
products and subscriptions (also available to end-customer
organizations) we help guide their strategy, improve the
effectiveness of their marketing, and increase the efficiency of
their operations.
